HOW TO OVERCOME BOREDOM DURING HOLIDAYS

Go outside: This one is super easy. Step one: Get dressed. Step two: Open your door. Step three: Go outside. That’s it! There are so many things that you can do outside. You can play football, tag or hide and go sleek. You can take a walk. Plus, having fun outside is free unless you have nowhere to go. If you live in an apartment building or somewhere “outside” equals concrete, that doesn’t mean nature has to be foreign. You can go to the lekki conservation centre, which is open even on holidays! It does cost money, though.

Meet someone: over the holidays, you meet up with a lot of people. Family and friends all come over for Christmas and New Year’s right? So this way to not get bored might seem obvious. But I mean, you should meet someone whom normally wouldn’t. you know, someone you like but whom you haven’t seen in a while? Maybe its because you grew apart or never made an effort to see each other but you’ve got weeks to fill, so now’s the time! You won’t regret it, but you will regret losing what could have been a close friend because you were too lazy to see them.

Learn Something: Yeah, I know nobody wants to learn anything during a vacation, but it’s not always bad if you’re engaged in something you like. You can learn to make things out of Legos, to design and sew clothes, to apply makeup, to draw or paint, or to do anything else you can think of. Vacation’s really the best time to learn those things because you have so much time on your hands. Why not give it a try? Even if you have no materials or transportation, you can still watch videos on the internet about whatever interests you.
